Stargate

The movie commences in Giza, Egypt, circa 1928, where an archaeological expedition unearths an ancient ring with cryptic hieroglyphs. It turns out to be an interstellar teleportation device which leads to a planet with humans resembling ancient Egyptians who worship the god Ra.
